New Paltz FLOOD AID to benefit farmers & community
Many
small local farms in New Paltz and the surrounding area suffered great
losses in the wake of the hurricane, and Farm Fest is coordinating with
New Paltz FLOOD AID to raise money for the hardest hit people in our
community. All proceeds will go to the farmers, families and first
responders in New Paltz who were most impacted by the floods.
We are coordinating a silent auction art raffle to raise money to support New Paltz FLOOD AID, and we are looking for submissions and donations of art work to help this cause. Submissions are due by Wednesday, October 5th. Email farmfestnp@gmail.com for additional information.

Welcome to Farm Fest!
Farmfest,
in conjunction with the Village of New Paltz Local Food Week, is designed to bring farms,
restaurants, and the community together and highlight the connection
between food producers, food preparers and food consumers. New York
state is one of the leading sources of organic produce in the nation,
and within the state Ulster County has the most diversity in local food
production, specifically through community supported agriculture (CSA)
farms. As a cultural and educational center of Ulster County, New Paltz
is poised to make local food the center issue for residents of Ulster
County and the greater Hudson Valley bioregion.
